This course is ideal for anyone keen on learning the process of creating AAA quality real-time characters from scratch. In this course, we will be creating a Japanese high school girl.
This will be a somewhat unedited and candid insight into my style of creating a game character, using techniques compatible with the gaming industry. I will demonstrate how I gather materials and also occasionally show possible mistakes and how I go about troubleshooting them. The course starts out at a real-time pace, and then slowly increases pace as you become more familiar with the processes and tools.
The topics covered here include character modeling/sculpting, realistic garment creation, PBR texturing, real-time hair creation, basic character rigging/posing, and Marmoset Toolbag 3 rendering.
By the end of the course, you would have acquired some knowledge of how to create AAA quality characters for your portfolio.
